Social Media Marketing Agency News: There has been lots of talk about FaceBook recently, mostly surrounding the ‘apparent’ lack of interest when it comes to the security of its users data. (Reuters) – Google is buying Oslo-listed Global IP Solutions for $68 million to build its real-time audio and video Internet capabilities, the two companies said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

The friendly all-cash transaction values GIPS shares at 13 Norwegian crowns each, up 27.5 percent from Friday’s closing price of 10.20 crowns. Norwegian markets were closed on Monday.

“The Web is evolving quickly as a development platform, and real-time video and audio communication over the Internet are becoming important new tools for users,” Rian Liebenberg, Google’s Engineering Director, said in a statement…

(Reuters) – The video game industry has weathered the economic slowdown better than most industries, but there could be a reason — free games with new figures showing up to a third of gamers don’t pay to play.

More people are getting into gaming through free titles like Zynga’s “Treasure Isle” played online through social networking sites like Facebook, downloading free games like ngmoco’s “Godfinger” on mobile devices like iPhone and iPad, or sitting on a friend’s couch to play multiplayer maps with titles like Activision Blizzard’s “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.”

New research from video game tracking firm Newzoo found every existing video game platform from mobile to console has an audience of at least 30 percent of non-paying players. Read more…

Everyone is a project manager right? If you are reading this I will take the assumption that you have an interest in project management, that being true I will take the following distinction that you have a conscious or subconscious ability to identify, interpret and understand the real meaning behind the words people say. All ‘good’ managers of people have fundamental rapport building, intuition and body language understanding to aid any understanding of the current situations, opinions and possible options. Even if you have not studied these specifically in the past you understand the unconscious knowledge of these skills helping you in your Project Management direction.

You will have also previously found yourself in situations where project management methodology on any particular project has been brought up in conversation. Imagine the situation; you sit down to a meeting where a new project is put on the table.
